These Terms explain the rules for using the Website and, where applicable, purchasing materials and other products or commissioning design, additive manufacturing, prototyping, consulting and related services.

Scope and acceptance

The provisions concerning Website use apply to visitors and account holders. The sales and services provisions apply when incorporated into the relevant order or agreement and made available before that agreement is concluded. Please read and save the applicable Terms before placing an order or accepting a quotation.

Specific terms expressly agreed for an order or project supplement these Terms and take priority where they address the same subject differently, subject always to mandatory law. No provision of these Terms or an individual agreement restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

A “consumer” is a natural person acting for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession. A “business customer” acts for purposes connected with those activities. Consumer protections apply whenever the customer qualifies for them under applicable law.

Accepting these Terms does not constitute consent to optional marketing, analytics or other personal-data processing requiring separate consent.

Permitted Website use

You may use the Website for lawful purposes, including reviewing information, making enquiries and placing genuine orders. When submitting an order or acting on behalf of an organisation, you must have the legal capacity and authority to enter into the relevant agreement.

You must not introduce malware, attempt unauthorised access, misuse another person’s account, submit fraudulent information, infringe third-party rights, or interfere with the Website’s security or operation. You must not use automated means in a way that damages the Website or unreasonably burdens its infrastructure.

MaterDome may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, a material breach of these Terms or a security risk. Where appropriate, affected users will receive notice. Such restrictions do not extinguish existing contractual obligations or statutory rights.

Accounts and customer portals

If accounts or customer portals are available, users must provide accurate information, maintain the confidentiality of their credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorised access.

Access to quotations, files, prices or documents in a customer portal does not itself transfer intellectual property or create an order. Acceptance and any payment obligation follow the process described in the relevant quotation or order.

Website information and intellectual property

Unless otherwise identified, rights in the Website’s original text, graphics, photographs, designs and branding belong to MaterDome or its licensors. Third-party names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

You may view the Website, save these Terms and retain information reasonably needed to evaluate or document a transaction. Any further copying, modification, redistribution or commercial exploitation requires permission unless permitted by law or an applicable licence.

General articles, examples, technical discussions and indicative material data are not a project-specific engineering assessment. Product descriptions, agreed specifications and binding statements concerning a particular purchase remain part of that purchase as required by law.

Products and technical specifications

The applicable product listing and order identify the product, quantity, material, dimensions or other relevant characteristics. Before purchasing, customers should review the stated compatibility, storage, handling and safety requirements and any available technical or safety data sheets.

Unless expressly agreed as a contractual specification, printing parameters and application examples are guidance rather than a guarantee of a particular result in every machine or operating environment. This does not reduce MaterDome’s responsibility for accurate descriptions, agreed performance or conformity with the contract.

Photographs and screen colours are illustrative. Any expected manufacturing variation or tolerance must be disclosed appropriately and must not make a product materially different from its description or unsuitable for its agreed purpose.

A product’s description as “engineering-grade”, “industrial” or similar does not, by itself, establish certification for medical, food-contact, aviation, structural or other regulated uses. Any required certification or application-specific assurance must be expressly identified before purchase or commissioning.

Prices and payment

Prices are stated in the currency shown in the applicable listing or quotation. Consumer prices exclude applicable VAT and mandatory charges. Any prices shown including VAT will be clearly identified as such.

Shipping, special packaging and other additional charges will be disclosed before a customer becomes bound. Where an exact total cannot reasonably be calculated in advance, the calculation method and any potential additional charges will be explained beforehand. International orders will identify the agreed responsibility for customs clearance, import taxes and related charges where applicable.

Available payment methods, payment deadlines and any deposit or milestone payments will be stated during checkout or in the quotation. A quotation does not authorise additional work or charges beyond its scope without the customer’s agreement.

A change to an advertised price does not retrospectively change an accepted order. If a material pricing or product-information error is identified, MaterDome will contact the customer to resolve it in accordance with applicable law, rather than unilaterally charging a different price.

Orders and contract formation

Before submitting an online order, you will have an opportunity to review and correct the information entered. The final order action will clearly indicate any obligation to pay.

Unless the checkout expressly specifies otherwise, an automated acknowledgement confirms receipt of the order only. The contract is concluded when MaterDome sends an express acceptance or dispatch confirmation. Any advance payment received for an order that is not accepted will be refunded within 5 business days.

For work arranged by quotation, the quotation will state its validity period, scope, acceptance process and any condition for commencement. The contract is formed in accordance with that stated process. A request for information, uploaded file or preliminary discussion is not, by itself, an accepted project.

MaterDome will provide the applicable order confirmation and contractual information in a form the customer can retain, such as email.

Delivery and delays

Available delivery destinations, restrictions, charges and the expected delivery or performance period will be stated before an order is concluded. A pre-order, back-order or project-dependent lead time will be identified rather than presented as immediate availability.

If no different delivery period has been agreed for consumer goods, delivery will take place without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is concluded. If a delay occurs, MaterDome will inform the customer and explain the available options.

For consumer purchases, the risk of loss or damage generally passes when the consumer, or a nominated third party other than the carrier, takes physical possession. Any statutory exception for a carrier independently commissioned by the consumer remains applicable. Business delivery terms may be agreed separately.

Please report visible shipping damage, missing items or delivery discrepancies promptly so they can be investigated. A request for prompt reporting does not shorten statutory complaint periods or remove consumer rights.

Design and manufacturing projects

The project quotation or agreement will identify the deliverables, supplied inputs, material and process requirements, tolerances, agreed testing, delivery format, schedule, fees and any revision allowance.

Customers must provide accurate files and instructions and disclose requirements relevant to the intended application, including loads, temperatures, chemical exposure, safety-critical use or regulatory obligations. MaterDome remains responsible only for the work it undertakes and any design or validation expressly included in its scope.

A request for changes to geometry, quantity, material, tolerances or scope after acceptance may affect cost and timing. Any resulting adjustment must be agreed before the additional work proceeds. An approval of a drawing or sample does not waive claims relating to defects, negligence or non-conformity for which MaterDome is responsible.

A prototype, visual model or experimental sample is not represented as a certified end-use component unless that status is expressly agreed and supported. Certification, compliance assessment, validation and testing are included only to the extent stated in the project agreement and required by applicable law.

Customer files and confidentiality

Customers retain their rights in files, drawings, models and other material they supply. By submitting such material, the customer grants MaterDome only the permission reasonably necessary to assess the request, prepare a quotation and perform an accepted project, including necessary technical processing and access by appropriately bound project partners.

Customers must have the rights or authorisation necessary for the requested use. MaterDome may refuse work that reasonably appears unlawful or infringing.

Non-public customer files and project information will be treated as confidential and used for the enquiry or project, except where disclosure is authorised, legally required, or concerns information already lawfully public or independently obtained without a confidentiality restriction. Disclosure to personnel and project partners will be limited to what they need for their role and subject to appropriate obligations.

Submitting files does not authorise MaterDome to publish customer designs, identify the customer in marketing, or use confidential customer material to train general-purpose AI systems. Such uses require separate permission. For particularly sensitive projects, customers should request an agreed secure-transfer process and, where appropriate, a non-disclosure agreement before uploading files.

Ownership and licence rights in newly created designs, source CAD files, reports and project deliverables will be expressly addressed in the quotation or project agreement. No transfer of pre-existing tools, methods or know-how is implied merely by the purchase of a physical part.

Cancellation and consumer withdrawal

Requests to cancel or change orders

Contact MaterDome as soon as possible if you wish to cancel or change an order. Where no statutory withdrawal right applies, cancellation arrangements and any lawful charges depend on the accepted contract and the work or commitments already undertaken. No deposit is automatically forfeited merely because an order is described as custom-made.

The 14-day consumer right

Unless a statutory exception applies, consumers may withdraw from an eligible distance contract without giving a reason within 14 calendar days. For goods, the period generally begins when the consumer or their nominated third party receives the goods; for services and digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, it generally begins when the contract is started. Where one order contains goods delivered separately, the period generally begins upon receipt of the last good.

You may exercise this right by sending an unequivocal withdrawal statement to the contact details above, by using the model form below, or through the contact directly by email. The model form is optional. Sending the statement before the period expires is sufficient; advance approval or a return-authorisation number is not required to exercise the right.

The electronic function allows you to identify yourself and the contract, provide an electronic address for acknowledgement, and confirm submission. An acknowledgement recording the content, date and time of submission will be sent without undue delay in a form you can retain.

Returns and reimbursement

Following withdrawal, goods must be sent back without undue delay and within 14 calendar days of notifying MaterDome. The deadline is met if the goods are dispatched before that period ends.

Consumers bear the direct return cost only where they were informed of that obligation before contracting and MaterDome has not agreed to pay it. For goods that cannot normally be returned by post, the return cost will be disclosed before purchase. Defective-goods claims are treated separately and are not subject to a general customer-paid-return rule.

MaterDome will reimburse payments due following withdrawal, including the cost of the least expensive standard outbound delivery offered, without undue delay and within 14 calendar days of receiving the withdrawal notice. Any extra cost of a more expensive delivery option chosen by the consumer need not be reimbursed. For goods, reimbursement may be withheld until the goods are received back or evidence of return is supplied, whichever occurs first, unless MaterDome has offered to collect them.

Reimbursement uses the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed without cost to the consumer. Consumers are responsible only for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the goods’ nature, characteristics and functioning, where the applicable legal conditions are met. Original packaging is helpful but is not an absolute condition for exercising the right.

Relevant statutory exceptions

The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods genuinely made to the consumer’s individual specifications or clearly personalised. This exception will be disclosed before the contract is concluded where applicable. Merely manufacturing a standard product after an order is placed, or offering standard catalogue options, does not automatically make it exempt.

If a consumer expressly requests a paid service to begin during the withdrawal period, a later withdrawal may require payment of a proportionate amount for work lawfully performed up to that point, provided the statutory conditions are met. The right is lost after full performance only where the required prior express consent and acknowledgement have been obtained.

For paid digital content supplied without a tangible medium, loss of the right upon commencement requires the consumer’s prior express consent, acknowledgement of the loss, and the required contract confirmation. Acceptance of these Terms alone does not supply those separate permissions.

An exception to change-of-mind withdrawal does not remove rights concerning faulty, misdescribed or non-conforming goods or services. Business customers have no general consumer cooling-off right, without prejudice to other applicable rights or an agreed cancellation policy.

Defects and legal guarantees

Consumer goods are covered by the applicable legal guarantee of conformity, including the minimum two-year protection required by EU law, subject to any longer or additional protection under applicable law. This is a statutory entitlement against the seller and is separate from a manufacturer’s commercial warranty.

Where goods do not conform to the contract, available remedies include repair or replacement and, where the legal conditions are met, a price reduction or termination and refund. Necessary costs of statutory remedies are not transferred to the consumer. Any applicable protection for digital content or digital services is also preserved.

Please contact MaterDome using the details above with the order reference and a description of the issue. Photos or other evidence may assist assessment, but they are not a basis for imposing disproportionate conditions or excluding statutory rights.

Instructions about drying, storage, machine compatibility or safe handling do not excuse defects present at delivery. Equally, damage actually caused by misuse or failure to follow appropriate instructions will be assessed according to the applicable legal rules rather than treated as an automatic warranty cancellation.

Privacy and cookies

Personal-data processing and cookies and similar technologies are explained in the Website’s separate Privacy & Cookie Policy. These policies must be accessible through the Website footer and at relevant collection points.

Personal data may be processed under the lawful basis appropriate to the purpose, such as necessary pre-contractual steps, contract performance, legal obligations, legitimate interests or consent. Merely browsing the Website or accepting these Terms does not constitute consent to optional analytics, advertising or marketing.

Where consent is required for cookies or similar technologies, they will not be activated before that consent is given. Users may refuse optional cookies or withdraw consent through the Website’s cookie settings. Strictly necessary technologies may operate without consent where the legal exemption applies.

The Privacy Policy explains the controller’s identity, purposes, data categories, lawful bases, recipients, international transfers where relevant, retention, individual rights and how to complain to a supervisory authority. This section does not replace that notice.

Third-party links and providers

The Website may link to external websites or use third-party services. Those providers’ own terms and privacy information may apply to their independent services. A link alone does not imply endorsement or a guarantee of external content.

Using a payment provider, carrier, manufacturer or subcontractor does not exclude responsibilities MaterDome owes to its customers under the applicable contract or mandatory law.

Availability and responsibility

MaterDome takes reasonable care in maintaining the Website but cannot promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, technical faults or security incidents may temporarily affect availability. Material errors affecting an accepted transaction will be addressed in accordance with the contract and applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where exclusion is prohibited, mandatory product liability, or any other liability or consumer remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Any project-specific allocation of professional responsibilities or limitation of business-to-business liability must be expressly agreed and legally enforceable. These Website Terms do not impose a blanket liability cap or exclude all responsibility for engineering work.

Changes to these Terms

MaterDome may update these Terms to reflect changes in its services, the Website or applicable law. The current version will show its effective date.

An accepted order remains governed by the version provided when the contract was concluded unless a change is legally required or validly agreed. A new Website publication does not, by itself, retrospectively amend an existing contract. Material changes affecting continuing services will be notified appropriately and implemented only on a lawful basis.

Law, disputes and contact

These Terms are governed by Greek law. Where mandatory consumer protections of another country apply, this choice of law does not deprive the consumer of those protections.

Please contact MaterDome first so an issue can be considered and, where possible, resolved. This does not prevent you from seeking court proceedings, regulatory assistance or another remedy available by law.

Consumers may contact the Greek Consumer Ombudsman at https://www.synigoroskatanaloti.gr for disputes within its remit. Participation in any other alternative dispute-resolution arrangement will be identified where applicable; no mandatory arbitration is imposed by these Terms.

The competent courts are determined under the applicable jurisdiction rules. These Terms do not require every consumer to bring proceedings exclusively before the courts of Patras or waive any protected right to use another competent court. A lawful business-to-business jurisdiction agreement may be made separately.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Any resulting gap is governed by the applicable legal rules, not by an automatic replacement designed to reproduce an unlawful effect.

Model withdrawal form

Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from an eligible contract. Its use is optional.
